India is the third largest producer and exporter of tobacco in the world appreciated for its diverse range of tobaccos available all around the year, with annual production of about 500 million kgs. Of this, FCV tobacco – the main exportable variety of tobacco that is produced in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka account for 300 million Kgs annually.

Other varieties include HDBRG Burley, Light-Soil Burley, Dark fire cured, Oriental, Rustica, Chewing & Sun cured tobaccos.
